White Dog is pleased at Beth's progress in remembering and being able to identify each of the White Dog Army by name and physical features. "She even noticed that I am taller than Bella," WD complimented. "She is really trying very hard to get to know us."
Beth has a brother who lives just south of Albuquerque and she frequently comes to town to attend to his medical issues. And of course, when she is here, she visits us.
Over pad thai, one of her favorite Asian dishes, Beth quizzed herself. She stumbles over the pronunciation of "Tizenegy" (which is understandable since it is a Hungarian word meaning eleven). She knows Roman, Bella, Zsofia, and Bailey without hitch. She must carefully watch Pearl and Opal to tell them apart. "Pearl has straight furs; Opal is curly."
"A few more visits," White Dog noted, "and she will know us as well as momma does. Oh, wait, momma sometimes confuses us. That is when she ends up calling us all."
"And unlike momma, Beth ALWAYS brings us treats," Bailey jumped in. "Yes, but sometimes DAD takes them and hides them for LATER." complained Tiz.
